This shot was taken during the Gulf War in 2003 and there were rules in effect that prohibited people from taking photographs of Parliament. The guard in the photo, knowing that I was a tourist, let me take as many shots as I wanted. It seemed that the guards or police were always willing to bend the rules for foreigners. The white cars in the photo are known as "White Ambassadors" and they used to be reserved only for VIP's... Even though the general public can rent them now, these are waiting for members of parliament.
