Figs

A simple snapshot gallery to visually track my Fig Orchard. Orchard consists or is supported by (1) of a number of container figs that summer in the garden and winter in the garage, (2) a number of figs planted around the property and (3) a nursery to propagate more for me and friends.

Thank you for a marvelous website. The last couple of years I have had a problem getting starts off of my fig. It looks like you are using vermiculite. I just bought 7 new varieties and would like to one day get starts from them. I have given away all my starts from my BROWN TURKEY and desperately want more. MY dad started a couple of trees for me from his(and they were great). I'm sort-of stingy when it comes to sharing my ripened fruit so I try n get people to grow their own. Any info would be very appreciated. Thank you. Ellen

You have such a impressive fig trees. It seems you really enjoy them, I have started with figs this season and already have 11 trees in pots and 15 cutting from different varieties which are rooted and ready for 1 Gallon containers. Once again, thank you for the wonderful pics of your trees.

Hands down you win for such an impressive site for figs. How would U rate your Fracazzana? My wife thinks it was the best in our collection 2008. Any likelihood U have Sultane cuttings for trade sometime 2009.

Looks like your Fracazzano Bianco is doing well. Did your Noire de Caromb make it?
I saw your Italian Honey breba photos on the forum. Is this the one you airlayered for me? That airlayer has taken a long time to grow but it is doing very well now and I am looking forward to getting some of the same figs as in your photo! The Sultane you airlayered for me really took off but no figs yet.
I like your website. Very, very nice. What camera do you use?

By the way, do you really like your Texas Everbearing? They're grown in backyards here but they're not as impressive as many others.

great pics,, can you give me some tips on growing figs in upstate ny zone 5,, I was told by many that it's too cold hgere but my love for the fig will keep me motivated to do so,,

Beautiful sight with beautiful fig plants. I have just started my collection with 2 fig plants from "Grimo Nut Nurseries in Ontario" and two small guava trees from "Flora Exotica in Montreal" and started some guava seedlings from seeds. I guess guava is an acquired taste. I do not see many enthusiasts. I am in Zone 5a (Ottawa,Canada) and can hope for some fruits sometimes in the future but I am enjoying the therapeutic benefit of watching my plants grow in the growing season and keep the memories alive throughout the white winter of Canada until the next growing season.
Your post at GW brought me here. Enjoy your figs. I enjoyed its pictures.
