Dead Data

Home, computer loft

I was destroying some old DAT backup tapes that had sensitive data on them when I decided to use the remains for my photo. I had this clever idea of burying my wireless speedlight under it all so I could get a cool shot of the light flashing through the gaps. I got it all set up, took one shot, then noticed the smoke curling up from the pile of tape. I quickly realized what a bad idea that was and cleared off the tape. I found the crinkled, melted patch which had been directly over the flash head, but fortunately nothing had melted onto my speedlight. No damage done. *whew*

Glad to know you are NOT willing to sacrifice ANYTHING for a good shot. That would have been tragic.

So your speedlight could be used as a bit of survival kit then? lol.
Cool pic! I like the bit halfway up on the left that looks like a solid bar of something shiny :)
