Apollo 8

December 21-27, 1968
Borman, Lovell, Anders

Thirty-eight years ago, Apollo 8, man's first flight around the moon, landed back on Earth.
The Apollo 8 crew carried metal in this medallion aboard the flight.

On a photography note, the lighting for this photo was achieved with my new Alien Bees B800 flash unit that my lovely wife gave me for Christmas.
So if you think the lighting sucks, don't blame the unit. Blame me, who's just starting to learn about studio lighting.

I'm jealous of your new lights. Sigh.
