Owen D. Riley

Carrollton, Texas

October 18, 1847 - July 14, 1888

There is a small historical cemetery right next door to my house. There are only a few graves, most of them from the late 1800's. Periodically, I like to go wander around or sit in the cemetery. I hadn't been in a while, so I took a walk with the camera. I noticed the addition of this small marker and flag next to one of the stones. Judging from the fading on the flag, it has been there for several months.

I couldn't decide which version I liked best, so I posted both. Here's the other one:

Canon PowerShot S50
1/50s f/5.0 at 7.1mm iso50 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Have to echo everyone else, I think this a case where the subject and treatment fit each other perfectly!

I haven't looked at the coloured one & though it's probably very nice I think the sepia version belongs with this version. Good work Scott.
