Parking is tight at my company. Many people started parking in fire lanes, along curbs, and in the grass so they could park closer to the building, rather than use the shuttle-serviced parking garage down the road.
Over the past month, we have received repeated warnings that they were going to start cracking down on this. The most recent was a company-wide notification yesterday that the city police and fire departments were well aware of the illegal parking and would begin ticketing and booting cars.
Someone decided not to heed the warnings. They will definitely not be having a good Good Friday when they try to go home today.
