Cobbler's Lamp

Home, living room

Picked up this item at First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas. Supposedly a reproduction of a type of lamp used by cobblers for working late into the night.

Note: I've had many people contact me privately asking where to find replacement globes for this style of lamp. Check your local Hobby Lobby, Michael's, or other hobby/craft store. Especially around Christmas. These globes are identical to the empty clear glass Christmas ornaments that are sold to fill with glitter and what-not. Just pull off the metal topper/clip that comes with it. Hope this helps anyone looking to repair their own lamps.

I've had this lamp since 1978. I do have 3 replacement bulbs for it without the cork, which you can get at any hobby center. If interested email me at: Jmacherasg@gmail.com

Looks lots better when you photograph it than it did covered in dust at Canton- what a great shot!
