Buc-ee's is the Mecca of roadside convenience stores. They boast of the world's cleanest restrooms (I wouldn't doubt it), delicious pecan logs (hand-rolled by beavers), and their famous Beaver Nuggets.
They often have billboards giving you notice of a Buc-ee's more than 100 miles before you reach it. The billboards proclaim such things as "Joe is fresh. Coffee is, too" and "Eat jerky. Don't drive like one."
They are the convenience store to end all convenience stores. If any of you remember the classic American roadside institution of Stuckey's, this is the version for the 21st Century.
If you ever find yourself near a Buc-ee's, do yourself a favor and stop in. But allow yourself extra time to just wander through and gawk.
