I found an Ohio bug with 6 legs, black head, green and black body with yellow stripes on the black. There is a small orange edge at the front of the thorax on each side... Doesn't appear to have wings. It's rather pretty and colorful.

love the detail on that...i've got a sigma 105mm f2.8 macro, and i just ordered the Lumiquest softscreen, so hopefully i'll be able to get some similar shots!

Hi Sayer,
Great shot of a nasty bug. Did you know that the hairs around the proboscus are used to protect the face from prey's last attempts at survival? Tough world.
