Just after the peak of the fall leaf season in the Smoky Mountains in November, 2010, we made a qucik trip to photograph the area. We started at Tellico Plains, Tennessee to shoot the magnificent Bald River Falls. We shot it in the afternoon, when the light was too bright and contrasty. We decided to spend the night there and shoot it again in the early morning light. Early the next morning, we shot the falls before any direct sunlight hit the falls and got some good shots. Afterwards we drove to Gatlinburg to concentrate our efforts along the Roaring Fork Scenic Drive.
