These images were taken on a recent trip to Brunswick, GA and the Golden Isles. I spent many years of my youth in this lovely area. One pic of my Grandmother's house brings back fond memories of her and the many busy holidays and lazy summers spent here. I enjoyed some true Southern Hospitality as the houseguest of my uncle and aunt, who really rolled out the red carpet for me (thanks Bob & Betty June). I can't wait for a return trip to see if I can capture some more of the magic that is the Golden Isles. All the best, jim
I was born and raised in Brunswick, second generation, but moved away in 1980. I visit Mom here now in the nursing home and ran across this page as I try to help a couple restore my great uncle's home on Union Street. My brother lives on Union Street today. There is no more beautiful place on earth. The pictures are phenomenal. Thanks so much for posting them. kindest regards,
Lisa
A trip down memory lane for me. i lived on St. Simon's Island for 2 years in the early 70s and spent many hours wandering around these places. The smell of the salt marshes still comes to me sometimes. Beautiful pics. Thank you for posting them.
