Mastering the Butterfly: Workshop Gallery

This gallery is devoted to the display of the images of the participants of the "Macro Photography: Mastering the Butterfly Workshop" conducted at Callaway Gardens first on June 24th & 25th and again on July 8th & 9th, 2005. I am well pleased with the results. Selecting these images from all the other excellent shots was quite a challenge! Each of the images was post-processed using PSCS using my usual workflow. Note: many of the participants have expressed an interest in sharing e-mail addresses with each other. Please send me your e-mail address and I'll forward it to the others (sandman3@charter.net).

I've attended other photography workshops but none more professionally executed. Jim Henderson is an excellent lecturer and photographer who has extensive knowledge of the workings of many of the current digital cameras. When he isn't lecturing he's working side by side with his students. It's always a pleasurable learning experience working with Jim. I'll happily drive the 5 hours to attend another of his workshops. Jim: Thanks for a great class. I'm one of the "digi-cam girls" who was in a bit over my head. But, you went the extra mile to include us and I'm grateful. I learned a lot and enjoyed the expereince. I loved this workshop. I learned a great deal and came away knowing that I am going to study my camera book and also play with the camera. I will be in Italy 6 weeks in September and October and KNOW I will take with me the experience of this week end. I will recommend your workshop to all I know. What fun we had and Thanks Jim for all your help and also putting these out for others to share. They are beautiful. My sister loves your page.
