Cemetery, A Study in Composition

I am presently doing a self-study of composition. This series of images is a beginning attempt to put some of these principles into practice. Since I have no teacher to give me feedback on this "assignment", please let me know what you think. Let me know what you think "works" and what does not. These were all taken in a one hour period, 8:30 to 9:30 AM, on a very foggy morning. It is my intention to portray the cemetery as a cold and somewhat forgotten and neglected place. There is order and there is chaos. Thanks for your honesty and help.

Quite a gloomy but very nice assemblage....But you missed the boat on the title IMHO.
I would've opted for: "Cemetary, A Study in DeComposition"
especially with this: "It is my intention to portray the cemetery as a cold and somewhat forgotten and neglected place." in the discription to back it up. As well as the literal proccess that takes place in such a place. Sort of a "poetic license" or play on words for a figuative aspect on your concept....Just my artistic twist and oppinion to complete the total package of the artistic endeavor....Sometimes a title can add to a piece of art just a little more than a mere discription...Hell I sometimes add somewhat mediocre or less than wonderful pics into my galleris based only on a caption I might think is funny or thought provoaking or just plain fitting...Feel free to use my suggestion or feel free to tell me to go #uc* myself....it's only one oppinion albeit a long winded one.... ;-)

I am very impressed with all of your images, and not just these. You have, in my oppinion captured the mood and emotion you intended in the semetary gallery, and have provoked me to start looking and seeing again in my own attempts to capture some of the beauty that is all around us.
Thank you also for posting this site, but for another reason. I am in the process of purchasing another digital camera, and in fact have been seriously looking at the same model that you have use for these images. After seeing what you have managed to do with your camera, I am convince about purchasing one of my own. Thank you again.....Jim

i have a couple cemetarie galleries also but none with fog.

These are all wonderful shots. I especially like #2 for some reason not quite sure why, but I think they are all great. You certainly have captured the feeling you were seeking as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for sharing the photos.

I like it, especially one and five.. The angel in five looks to some sort of higher power or salvation, but the moss and weathered features
give the impression that its in vane.
