Already floating on a cloud from finding a stand of trees busting with barn owls, I could hardly contain my excitement when we also found a pair of great horned owls, right out in the open.
They seemed quite fearless as we approached to take pics. This beauty never opened but the one pretty yellow eye, and kept it on our every move (looking at Carol Breton in this pic).
