Seahorse Dance

Birch Aquarium, San Diego, CA

Is there anything cuter than a seahorse. No matter what variety, they are the most amazing
creatures. This one sporting fins that resemble seaweed, is another masterpiece of camouflage.
Brain says it's the "Leafy Sea Dragon."

Excellent shot with the blacked out background. It really makes the seahorse so well defined.

Beautiful catch, Sandi. You are so right, they are as cute as ...
This seems to be the 'Weedy Sea-dragon'.
A more elaborately decorated form is the 'Leafy Sea-dragon' which happens to be
the emblematic marine animal of the state of South Australia.
It is common in coastal water here.
