IR Gull

Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada

The recipe for nice IR pics seems to include water, foliage and sky. I wondered how birds would come out. Problem: since you cannot see through the viewfinder it becomes difficult to frame anything. To get some fast action you also need the autofocus to have something to lock on. I stuck a short piece of drinking straw on the accessory shoe and went clicking away with a 200mm lens. Here is one of the better shots.
