A view from the rear showing the general layout. I have so far not found it necessary to use any auxiliary focuser. The Canon Angle-Finder C in conjunction with the Viewscreen I (clear center with cross-hairs) gets you practically dead-on using a bright star. I do final confirmation using the "focus" routine in ImagesPlus software. I also find the focus mechanism of the C14 "satisfactory" even though you do have to always approach from the same counter-clockwise direction. A nuisance; but I can live with it. The sideways image shift in my C14 is also a nonissue when using the Van Slike Slider 2. The 2" eyepiece for image acquisition does work well, much better than one could hope to do with just the finderscope, eg when using a webcam for planetary imaging at f20 to f30.
