Ambient light is the best lighting (to me) for moody portraits...I use it al the time...this is beautiful, Sam...and the B&W conversion is a kicker. V.

I cannot agree more. Window lights are the best ones
I worked with. It does give you more control
and images come out more dramatic and mostly
great like this shot.

You are right. The light from the windows is indeed quite beautiful for portraits, because it's a "true" one that we can control with the curtins or blinds :)
Good example of that in this portrait. Great division of light and darkness in this photo.
