My Uncle stopped into town, his first trip to New York and the USA.
First time in over sixty years.
In just a few days, he was taking the subway and getting around town
on his own.
There he is, looking right at home sitting on the steps of a New York
brownstone in the East Village, basking in the setting sun, post Manhattanhenge.
NYC is a melting pot of cultures. No matter where you come from, you can quickly
transform into a New Yorker :-)
Note: The M4-P is basically a meterless, i.e., less expensive M6. I love working without a meter.
I don't always get the exposures right, but when I do, it's a magical feeling
that only a photographer would understand.
Fantastic B&W image. You're uncle certainly looks very comfortable there. New York is very different to here, where I'll always be an outsider, no matter how well I know the language or culture. BV
