Point 'N Shoot :-)

Vivitar PS:20 "Point 'N Shoot" 35mm Camera

This is my Vivitar PS:20 from 1987. Bought it for $20 bucks. This camera
took me through the late 80's and half of the 90's, providing some of the
most memorable (if techincally poor) images of my life.

Ladies and gentlemen, this camera is the quintessential point 'n shoot.
It is what I would call a "SLC" or a "Super Low Class" camera. It is the
ULTIMATE "Poor Man's Camera!" It is poor, it is cheap, it is what people
think of when they think of a point 'n shoot camera. In fact, it says
"Point 'N Shoot" on the top of the camera! :)

Found it laying in a box recently and was surprised that the winding mechanism
seem to be working. The flash is not working. I can't tell if the rest of the
camera is working or not because you cannot manually set anything on it. It was
made for "point 'n shoot" photography. I will try to put a roll of film through this,
I actually love this thing! :-)

I own a ps-35, looks the same, takes two double A's and 35 mm film, but it has two little lenses next to the viewfinder. It was my mom's in the 80's into the 90's and I remember using it as a kid in the 90's... probably the first camera I had ever used! I still throw a roll in it from time to time when having my SLR would get in the way.

Great wide angle product shot of your well loved Vivitar. I can't wait to see some of your new shots. BV

These old film P&S are the way to go, so simple anyone can use them... Why can't they make a digital P&S like them... No, No, No, they have to complicate them with menus. Same with VCR to DVD; with VCR pop it push play, with DVD navigate your way through menus before you can get to your show!
