The Friends of Bodie Photographer's Day is a wonderful way to see and photograph the Ghost Town of Bodie. My day started at 4:00am. Leaving my Motorhome camped at the June Lake Loop, I was the first photographer at the main entrance to Bodie at 5:20am. All photographers were allowed into Bodie at 6:10am, giving us plenty of time to choose our spot. It was kind of funny that almost everyone ended up at the same place, in front of the Dechambeau Hotel. We all waited for the light to start peaking over the hills and start painting the town. Even though it was very cold, and I couldn't feel my fingers after a few minutes, it was well worth the small fee.
