Splendid windmill photos! Thank You! I'm a board member of the Shafter Historical Society in Shafter, CA. 93263. We just completed our windmill project, raising the 30 ft. tower - 10 ft. fan onto the angle supports that were placed there over 30 years ago at our Ag and Railroad Museum. The 602 Aermotor Windmill was donated by a pioneer family to the Shafter area, and the windmill supplied water to there farm about a hundred years ago! Four of our board members who have worked on the project have passed away, without seeing the windmill up and turning. I thank The Lord that I've lived to see this majestic landmark up and spinning in the mild breeze, and in the Lord's timing they will too! Dwayne A. postcards3@juno.com

You have a very good and important collection of photos here...keep up the work.
I have a 14' metal Axtell on a 40' tower. Do you have any photos of one like mine?
I have a question or two about how it was painted and how a part of the tail assembly

Excellent idea. I've taken few shots of windmills before, but your gallery is incredible. I've never seen a twin rotor windmill, until now.
