Hi Karin Jezebel just sounds like she was so much like Migo. He is also happy go lucky. Everyone is his friend and the world is just one big cocktail party (and its happy hour!). He too has his own agenda. So funny. Migo is doing great, so I hope knowing that helps a little.

Sadly, JezebelMarie left us on January 12th, 2007. Oddly enough it was the 4 year anniversary of the day I got her. She was a wonderful, happy go lucky dog with her own agenda. I miss her terribly.

A Message from Kathryn: I was looking at the close up photo of the pups nursing (they are 6 days old in this photo) and I thought it might be informative to name the "baby picture" for each. Left to right: Snik (nee Moon) - now living with Shelley/Jeff/Ketzel in the mountain country of Arizona. Hands down, the "Cary Grant" of the litter! Ketzel (nee Bayou) - always the one to dance to a different drummer, you'll notice she's the only one hanging back from nursing!! Her fuzzy coat and elegant manners made her the "Zsa Zsa" of the gang. Rebel (nee Bravo) - drop dead gorgeous, the sweetest angel of the bunch - wise beyond his age, but most sadly, could not stay for long in this world with Paul, his beloved friend. He's waiting on the other side, to be sure. 11/21/02 - 6/19/03. Witt (nee Chuckie) - even at this tender age, we knew Witt was THE dynamo, Mr. Alpha, the lead-with-your-head-ask-questions-later pup! And he looks the part - the most pronounced catahoula "jughead" of the group! But what was also apparent was that he loves people and has a heart of gold - just see DeAnna's recent email and this profile still holds up well! Witt is living in beautiful Portland OR and may just be flyball material after all (he'll have to keep his eye on big "brother" Dooley). Nikita (nee Tiger Lily) - Little did we know that 2 weeks after this photo was taken, pneumonia would almost claim this sweet girl. The vets gave her a 1 out of 10 shot to make it, but her will to live was so apparent, we gave her every chance to survive. Today, she is living with her wonderful folks, Tina and Mike, here in the Sacramento area. Migo (nee Blackjack or BJ) - well, part of him, anyway - that's him, diving deep for the "nipple not taken", since the top row was already reserved. Migo's huge, generous and gentle soul is matched only by his smarts and ability to make us laugh. Migo hit "blackjack" with his lucky adoption by Sabine and family, and his wonderful life in Seaside! Tobey (nee Dwiezel) - partners in crime with Witt on some days, on other days, very much his own sweet self. Tobey's striking markings always attracted lots of attention when we were out at the vet, etc - and continues to this day! Tobey has a 1/2 catahoula "sister" which keeps him plenty busy and is dearly loved by Karla and family in Rocklin CA. Lu-Lu (nee Desiree) is, unfortunately, AWOL here and I can only assume she's somewhere under Witt and Tiger Lily! Her adoptive family is in the east bay area, CA. Jezebel (nee Echo) - MOM - is only partially represented in this photo, but I know Karin and Mike are planning to get some updated to you guys soon. Thank you again, one and all, for playing such an important role in helping rescue these very special babies - they are certainly now our lifelong friends and I'm so glad we stay connected through Sabine's site! So very sorry to hear about the loss of Rebel. What a cutie he was and just seemed so perfect for Paul. It makes me look at Tobey and really appreciate what great dogs these puppies have turned out to be. My heart goes out to Paul and his family. I will try to pass on some pictures of Tobey. If they have any more pictures of Rebel we would surely love to see them. Rebel may be gone but he (and his human family) will be a part of this puppy family forever. Karla and Tobey

So sorry for loss of Rebel. The pups are so so cute. I know it is such a problem with watching what they eat. My back yard is very big, and borders on 3 backyards on my south boundary and one each on my east and west. One of my neighbors to my south have 3 young boys, 6, 8 & 9, who are at the tormenting and teasing age, Have no animals in their own yard. I have to watch so carefully when My dogs are outside and the boys are too. Was able to get this huge chocolate cookie away from Friskey just in the nick of time,(broke his heart..) but they are forever tossing foods and toys or whatever is within reach to get the dogs to barking and disruptive. I am so glad he is as obedient as he is, Cali would have eaten the cookie, quick, if she saw me coming!!

I am devastated to announce that Paul and Diane lost Rebel, very suddenly and possibly due to ingesting poisonous mushrooms. I can tell from the photo above that Paul was in love with his little friend and he must be heart broken, as am I. These little guys are all so precious and we should make the most of each day we have with them.

thank you so much for the beautiful picture gallery. i swear, looking at Snik and Ketzel's siblings is very very exciting. Ketzel and Witt, almost identical, and Snik and Rebel, what a pair!
