Terra Cotta Army 兵馬俑, Xi'an 西安 - China (9) March 2009
Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huangdi 秦始皇, the First Emperor of China were discovered by farmers in 1974 notably Farmer Yang, who often appears at the souvenir shop to sign the souvenir books.
These terracotta soldiers were found in shards and were painstakingly reassembled from hundreds of pieces. The emperor's mausoleum has yet to be unsealed.
