With perfect weather in Buenos Aries and Patagonia, we enjoyed touring the city ,watched tango dancers, and tasted the local dishes.
Patagonia's San Martin de Los Andes, surrounded by pristine glacier melt lakes, framed by majestic mountains, provided the scenic backdrop for our trout fishing. Who could forget Lago Tromen with the peak of the Lanin volcano and the glacier in the background?
These lucky wild rainbow and brown trout live in these pristine streams while luckier anglers get to fish for them!
Rios Malleo, Chimehuin, Collon Cura, and Lago Tromen provided plenty of strong trout for us to catch! Trout there have totally wild characteristics in how they feed, fight and behave. A small trout will still be difficult to catch and land. We practiced 100% catch-and-rlease on all fish caught.
* Big thanks to Dave Samuel for the trout pictures!
