Some microphotos of meteorites done on a Nikon stereoscope.
It's the small details which make meteorites delightful to study.
Rocks from the heavens; at least 4.5 billion years old and as old as our solar system.
Generally 3 types of meteorites: Irons (hexahedfries, Octahedrires, and Ataxites), Stony Irons (Pallasites and Mesosiderites), and Stones (Chondrites and Achondrites). Names are usually given according to the location where meteorites were found.
