This gallery has a test shot of the moon taken with a Canon 1D MkIII in live view mode.
The lens used is a 100-400 L IS (at full zoom) with a 1.4 Canon II TC. All postprocessing
was done with Picture Window Pro. Images were captured as jpegs, factory default settings.

The seeing was not very good, the moon was only about 30 degrees above the horizon.

First image is a 100% crop, completely unprocessed.

Second image is adjusted to reduce chromatic aberration from the optics.

Third image adds some contrast enhancement.

Fourth image adds some sharpening.
