The CARAT 04 exercises brought the USS McCampbell and other ships to Subic. My great friend David Dearie is the CMC of the ship so this provided me with the reason to go to Subic. Another former shipmate at CFAY Port OPS was there, Ed Ellis with his wife Ritchie. What great time! Did I mention that we had a chance to play golf too?
