Maybe its best that i cant talk, maybe its best that i cant smell, maybe its for the better that i cant hear. but noone can interfere or modify with their influence what i see. This is me. You should be so proud.x

I'd echo Ana's words. And to them I'd add those of Samuel Beckett: "I can't go on. I'll go on."

Ruth, You express your pain in such a powerful way. I have the deepest admiration for your photography.

Great presentation of the idea. Nice work!

Keep expressing yourself. Have you tried toilet paper?!
Ana Carloto O'Shea17-Jun-2006 10:39
Extra powerful!
What bothers me in this one is the way your nose and mouth are bandaged... can't breathe... can't speak... just the intensity of your glance. It makes my skin crawl!!

And you know what? Sometimes the shit in our heads can't really be fixed... we just have to live with it and kick ourselves forward into life, there's no other way ;))
In the end... there's always the photos... at least one friend... and a calendar full of pages to turn. Is it enough? I don't know yet, but I suppose one day we are going to find out.

That bandage is not the solution Ruth. So many questions today. Your creativity is boundless, but I can see your pain is too. K

strong image

Perhaps the simplest, strongest, most painful image you have ever made, Ruthie. I can't think of a better caption.
You will heal. You always have.

Wow! This is a very strong image. I think we all struggle with this but on different levels.

Fantastic. Vote.

V. strong image. The sh*t usually belongs to the outside world. It's not you that needs fixing, but the rest of the world. Art is a great outlet, but you also need to keep the filters up to stop the world's/people's excesses getting in... ;)

Oh my. Feel better soon.

Bandages can't hide the hurt inside.. deeper than a surface bruise, is the broken heart and spirit.
The gauze crosses over your mouth so you can't speak of the horror your eyes convey.
