I am left feeling in this image that this person has alot of cleaning up to do, and that the day is running out on him/her. The splash of light is the main incongruity, it feels like it is the door, but the person can not leave yet. The only thing I feel I am looking for and is missing here is context Ruth. I feel it is a temple, but there is no content here that tells me that.
