This Madill 009 hoist on the old Skookum/Madill trailer was once owned by Roy Filla Logging at Toledo Washington.
In 1987 when I took the pics it was owned by Castle Rock Stihl Logging (Castle Rock) and was on a landing ledge shot out
out of solid rock 2,000 feet above the cut timber. The wood was big old-growth yellow-fir, and the only other bidder on
this sale was Columbia Helicopters- due to its remoteness and poor access. A big Danebo motorized carriage was being used
along with the yarder, and loading the 3-log loads was handled by a monster Lorain 60C hydraulic log loader.
