Well, we've had almost 5 great years driving around in Allison's Honda S2000 but it was time to get something with 4 doors and bit a more utility. The nice days in Seattle are spectacular and top down works fine all year round, but it is definitely wetter than it is dry. We'd been shopping for SUVs for a few months but always kept coming back to the Toyota Highlander - based on the Camry platform it's not too big and drives much like a car. Toyed with the hybrid but the math never worked out on the gas savings vs. the price differential. In '06, Toyota came out with the "Sport" model of the Highlander which (for us) mainly replaced the ugly wood trim inside with this brushed plastic that looks like aluminum. With the grey interior and silver exterior, it's almost monochromatic!

So the pictures below document one last evening with the top down, a quick run down to Bob Bridge Toyota in Renton, and our happy drive home in our new wheels.
