Back in LA for a week and spent the last couple of days in Santa Monica. On the way here we took a detour to visit Din Tai Fung in Arcadia. DTF is a restaurant chain that originated in Taipei (ate there last month) and is famous for their dumplings, specifically their Xiao Long Bao (Little Dragon Dumpling...or Juicy Pork Dumplings as per the menu). There are two US locations (Flushing, NY and Arcadia, CA) and about a dozen more throughout Asia and I will try to eat at every one in the world within the next year! I'll be scoping out the Flushing location within 2 or 3 weeks :-) Once in Santa Monnica, we saw the the Greg Colbert show ( http://www.ashesandsnow.com/) is opening on the beach in a few weeks. It was just at one of the Piers in Manhattan this past summer. The facility was under construction so I walked around it and shot a few pics.
