Despite the first day in Chengdu fully taken up by meetings, we enjoyed a couple of fantastic meals (including the famous local Sichuan Hot Pot). Numbed thoroughly by the Sichuan pepper (Hua Jiao) and soothed by copious amounts of beer, we ventured off to catch a local Sichuan Opera.
Day 2 was also fully occupied by work but I took a bit more time with my photos so they're a bit better composed :-) Still no time for touch-ups until I get back from my trip. Lots of modern office buildings abound with construction cranes dominating the skyline in many places. I think I read somewhere that the largest cranes in the world are located in parts of China right now due to the huge growth in many cities.
At the end of the day, it was off to Beijing...
Sorry, no photos of Pandas or mountain temples :-( Next time!
