Haven't been to Beijing in over 25 years and nearly all the photos I took were from the back of a taxi :-( The sightseeing we did consisted of exploring some shops in the hotel and checking out one shopping area known for video games and gaming consoles. Fast visit...too short.
Oh well, I'm sure I'll be back in the future and will set aside some time to see the city. Much has changed. There were no private cars or highways back when I was here as a child. However there's still a fair bit of old-style Beijing around which was nice to see. Our hotel was above the Bentley and Lamborghini (and BMW, and Audi, and Volkswagen) dealerships...yes, times have changed.
