    Thank you for asking! The pattern is real, it is the dried attachment of the leaf stems, they do have that remarkable heart shape.

    Love the colours. I have to ask - is the heart pattern natural? I'm assuming it has been carved in sometime in the past; but maybe I'm wrong.
