I captured this late afternoon image of a resting Hawaiian green sea turtle (honu)
at Kiholo Bay on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island. Their presence greatly adds
to the great sense of peace of this protected area. The turtles bask after a day of
eating on limu seaweed outside the bay in often rough waters.
