Aerial Photographer

Carlsbad, CA

Today I photographed from the air a group protesting the threat of a new quarry being excavated near the Temecula downtown area.
The lighting wasn’t as good as last years’ event, but I was able to get several usable shots which I submitted to several newspapers and TV stations this afternoon.

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
1/320s f/13.0 at 24.0mm iso400 full exif

Good on you Robin!I hope the cause is successful.
I have only been in one helicoper too - a Mil Mi-8 of the Polish Air Force but I had to pay in US Dollars!

Awesome Robin!! Where's the door?!!! Been in one helicopter, flying down in the Grand Canyon... fun, but I liked a door beside me!! ;-) You look like you're having a great time!!

You dog! I wish I had been up there with you! What a great time you must have had! You look very happy and the other shot is soooooo cool!

Well done, Robin - you really look the part! And a great publicity shot. I'm wondering what you would have done if they had made a spelling error?!!

that looks exciting. I've only been in a helicopter once but it was a bigger beast. It flew us from London to Nottingham and it was a wonderful experience.

I was wondering what model helicopter that was. A PaD Special of course. How could I forget. LOL
You're a darned celebrity with shots in newspapers, National Geographic, text books, Playboy and Photolife.
Well,...maybe that's an exaggeration. The textbook is a little over the top. Unless you actually have published your pictures in a textbook, then were good to go.

that is very cool!

Oh, congrats, I hope the TV and newspapers used your nice shots.

Oh my word! I used to fly in one of these in my law enforcement job. Today, you couldn't give me enough money to get me to go up again. You're brave.
