After today’s PaD of me getting ready, folks asked for an after action report:
Jasmine and I, along with our mutual friends, enjoyed a candlelit dinner at a little Italian café on the marina. Afterwards I walked along the pier with Jasmine and Sally enjoying the evening smells and sounds. Sally, who is a bit rambunctious, started chasing some birds, but I tossed a few pebbles to scatter them (not wanting to leave any tern unstoned), and we got together again just before a powerful rain hit the Bay.
The storm really pounded us and all got soaked. Sally and I smelled like wet wool, but Jasmine seemed to keep her lovely perfumed aroma. She asked me if I’d like to come back to her place to dry my clothes and take a shower to warm up.
I eagerly agreed, but just as we got inside her condo the power failed. Nary a light in the place and the water booster pump had also failed. No drying out there. Jasmine said she could more than take care of herself in the dark, and gave me a nice hug as I left. Sally, being a good seeing-eye dog barked goodbye. Thus my blind date ended.
