This is a first for me --- a cellphone shot! I’m posting it to tell you about last Saturday’s big health care event that I helped facilitate (at one table)

Nearly 3,500 Californians gathered on August 11th across eight cities to weigh in on current health care reform proposals. Participants examined key policy options being considered by lawmakers. Satellite link-ups connected the meetings in Humboldt County, Sacramento, Oakland, Fresno, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles,Riverside, and San Diego to create a truly statewide conversation. This was true democracy at work. As each table discussed issues, their themes were sent by computer to a central point. Then summaries of all the state-wide data were displayed on the large screens. Individuals, using personal keypads, then voted their priorities. The link above will tell you much more.
