The Photographer

Rancho Bernardo, CA

I’m off to a very slow start today. Much of the morning is yet to come into focus.

At least this shot was taken, as promised, with the ‘next’ lens. This is the vaunted Canon EF 100 mm f/2.8 macro lens. (Tomorrow a macro shot).

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Another great one. As JW said, it's almost the perfect walk around prime.

That's a mighty big pinhole camera...:) Got one just like it somewhere collecting dust. Have a great weekend, Robin.

I wish I needed a 100mm lens (I sold mine to russP - remember him) because this lens really is amazing. Look at how sharp you are. It is a thing of beauty... and of course, so are you.

Great lens, It did wonders for you. I should pick up one of those 35mm things someday.
JW28-Jul-2006 19:28
You can't beat the 100mm macro lens - at a push you can use it for walkabout, portraits, telephoto, and of course macro. (Ideal for the lazy PBaser like me!)
Gary Blanchette28-Jul-2006 18:53
I have considered the 100mm as my next lens purchase.
