We started the day with a very informative in-depth review of New Zealand’s social-cultural history.
Then we took a wonderful sail in Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour aboard a 50 foot Lotus. This is Captain Jack raising the main halyard. I have a couple more shots in my NZ gallery including yours truly at the helm.
Later we viewed Auckland from Mt. Eden which is a huge extinct volcano, and lunched at Eden Gardens where I caught a few more flowers.
We ended our time in Auckland at the War Memorial Museum which has premier Maori exhibits and extensive displays on NZ involvement in various European wars over the last 140 years.
