When traveling internationally, I get a little tense about making my key airline connections. Friday evening was no exception. Traffic on the I-15 south was slow, and upon arriving at Lindberg Field I was told that my flight to San Francisco was delayed by 90 minutes due to weather.
However, I had built in a fudge factor and the delay did not prevent me from making my SFO to Sydney connection. Bev met me in the departure lounge and we flew business class non-stop for about 14 and ½ hours to Australia. We changed planes in Sydney and have now arrived in Auckland where we will be for several days.
All-in-all it has been pretty easy, and I’m not jet lagged. As soon as I upload this we’ll head out on the town.
I'll post New Zealand shots over the next week or so at http://www.pbase.com/rtwo/nz
