A Moment of Truth
San Diego, CA
The Moment of Truth! I had three images from my Sedona/Superstition Mountain trip enlarged and printed on canvas. I took them to an art framing store today to get wooden bars for stretchers to frame them. The proprietor refused to sell me the wood alone without doing the entire framing job himself, so I walked out. He didn’t understand that by failing to meet a customer’s needs he had just lost a potentially very good customer. Moreover I’ll never say anything good about him or his store in the future.
In contrast, a while back I was downtown about to meet with the City Manager when I discovered my white shirt was ruined with a huge ink stain. So I rushed over to Nordstrom’s in Horton Plaza, explained my predicament to the sales lady, she found a good shirt for me and then said. “Let me take this downstairs and iron it for you before you put it on.” That is service!
These are small versions of my future big prints for the wall. Note his business card with my feedback.
