I must admit that trains and train travel give me a sense of thrill and excitement. As a youth I could hear the old steam locomotives chugging up to a full start downtown and then puffing past my home three blocks aways (we were on the west side of the tracks ;-).

Riding a train still feels like an adventure; a feeling lost with air travel many years ago.
