Notice to Appear

Del Mar, CA

After enjoying the lovely Del Mar view yesterday I got nabbed by the local sheriff for making a "hollywood stop" which, in case you don't know, is failure to come to a full stop at a stop sign.

I was guilty as charged and did not argue with her. Now I hope all I have to do is pay a fine by mail, but there is a chance I'll also have to attend an online traffic school also.

I've heard it called a Colorado rolling stop. If you have to do it, be warned that online traffic school is BORING.

Err, what Gail said is wrong! You stop at a stop sign but not necessarily at a give way one. What gets me is turning right on a red light when I drive in the US. I hope they don't send you down for too long.....

Oh no !
Your confession here is going to ruin our defence !

Well, Robin, Robin, Robin...shame, shame, shame! Here we can go to traffic school and not have to pay the fine or have it make our insurance premiums go up. Oh, and your real name it Robert...Okay Robert! Write 50 times...I will alway make a complete stop at a stop sign. :)

I am shocked beyond words to think you could possibly do such a thing, Really, Robin.I am so disappointed. At the same time, I think Gary's idea may be a good one!

You mentioned "She"? If the officer that cited you was female and cute, fight the ticket. That way you can see her again in court. Afterwards thank her for showing you the errors of your ways and offer to shoot her in the studio as a way to show your graditude. ;-)

In Mexico red signs are for airplanes only :^)

We dont have a single Stop sign here on Bute lol

We call it... normal driving. It's not an offence in the UK and is expected. What's the thing you have about turning on a red light? That's an absolute no here.

We call it a rolling stop. I can't believe you would have to go to class for a violation of this nature.

Cop it sweet as they say!! However it's bad luck that you were caught while 10 old ladies are most likely being mugged while his attention was on writing this slip :(

Our officers call it a California stop. Seems it should be tolerated there ;-)
