Monochrome #10

Rancho Bernardo, CA

This is a big a rainstorm as I have seen here in San Diego. Of course, we are wimps and think 4 – 6 inches of rain in one storm is too much. I remember being in Cairns where it rained 1 inch an hour for 24 straight hours.!

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
1/13s f/6.3 at 50.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Serious rain!

And if the rain wasn't bad enough, add to it hale, thunder, lightning and tornadoes. Heck, I'm thinking about moving to Kansas where it's safe. :-)

Do you have any boat-building neighbors who answer to the name Noah?

Excellent shot, love the selective colouring, I must learn how to do that.

I'd guess you'd say this monsoon has lasted long enough...hope your reservoirs are getting full. – Racine

Looks like you are having some street flooding....coming down too fast and not fast enough to drain. Stay dry!

Good thing you fixed your roof a while ago.

It really is a lot for your area considering the mudslides it can cause. We had 29 inches here in the month of December and are still trying to dry out. We're still better off than Haiti.

Is that an actual stair-rod? lol :o)

California gets the best and the worst weather. I guess that you're house bound for a few days....
