From the past to the present May day or Beltane, as the Druids called it, has been a time of celebration, change and new beginings.

During the Middle ages, neighboring villages would vie for the honors of having the largest May Pole. This is a time of dancing and singing round the My Pole with ribbons. Young couples run through the smoke jumping over the fire to ask for luck and fertility. Many cultures and traditions have been added to Beltane throughout the ages and the celebration continues.
