From another perspective, the turned bobesche, slightly glinted and most probably brass, directing the eye upward, cups the gentle curve of a softly luminous shade. A beautiful, seemingly simple, but in fact complex image.

Here the shaft of the standing lamp dominates the image with decisive force, softened by a chain of inimitable beauty with its rhythmic descent of the beads ending in a weighted ball and contrasting in distinct shape with the shaft, like a pendulum in still motion. Rationality, precision, and mathematical rigor define the image.
