Resting, nesting, caught, captured, magnetized ?-- perhaps all of the above. The red-orange mottled leaf, such a visual standout against the dark gray corrugated bark, entwining with those slender twiggy branches, quite far off from a similar smaller leaf impaled on the far left, dramatizes the happenstance of autumn leaves and unexpected meetings..
